On a sort of of a whim, Anna and I, along with Anna's sister Dana and her husband Ryan and
their
little girl Abigail, and Anna and Dana's mother Sandra, decided to rent a cottage near Mt. Rainier.
The cottage turned out to be right on the Cowlitz River, a glacial river which flows off of the
Cowlitz Glacier high up on Mt. Rainier. The cottage had a nice soaking hot tub and all the amenities
we needed for a relaxing weekend away from Seattle.

This was taken near Reflection Lakes. On a perfectly still day it is possible
to photograph the whole mountain in the reflection of the lake. |
